Here are some candid shots of the pups.

I can't tell you how often I am asked if Boxers are high energy dogs.

Take a look and see what you think.

Jasmine gazing with rapt attention. When she gets like this she will wait for hours, if I let her. She hardly even blinks.

This is the object of her....affection.

He seems to have a suicide wish.

One of these days he is either going to get knocked off the fence, or the dogs are going to catch him. Both Jasmine and Sonny are quite capable of getting their heads up to his level.

Shayna proves that she can still jump pretty well.

Look at that grin!

I am often treated to the sight of a "boar hunt" in my back yard. In this photo Sonny is seen stopping Bruins forward movement by holding on to her neck and using his body weight to halt her. You can see Shayna and Jasmine "harrying their prey" by grabbing the hocks.

In stopping the forward movement of Bruin's front end, the momentum carries her back end forward and it results in "the prey" being thrown. This is very similar to what would happen in an actual hunt, though in our case the dogs are playing and not injuring each other. They will occasionally scrape or pull out bits of fur in their play, but they are careful not to puncture each other with their teeth.

Bruin is levating herself backwards to get away from Sonny. Unfortunately, the fence is in her way.

This photo and the next two show Jasmine being flipped by Bruin, the same way that Sonny flipped her in the previous photos. it is definitely an effective method.

Resting up after a good run.

Oh, that water feels Soooooooooo gooooooood!

Apparently, I have a slavering horde.

Jasmine forgets that Shayna is as fast and agile as she is.

Jasmine is in love with the sprinkler.

May 6th.

First time this year that they got to play in the sprinkler. Jasmine took the most advantage of it.

This reminds me of playing on a slip n slide when I was a kid

Can you hear her laugh?

Geronimo!!!!

Hmmm.....Dejavu?

This is a bird that was just passing by.It seemed to think better  of landing in the yard. I wonder why?

Jasmine is practicing for apple season.

Shayna shows her how it's done.

Would you like a breast, or a drumstick?

Sonny makes the  funniest faces.

April 1st,  2008

First day that Shayna was able to go back out to play after having her stitches out.

Can you see the  joy?

We have a kiddie pool that  Sonny likes to lay in to cool off.

It must tickle.

Flight Control....we have a problem....

I don't think Shayna appreciates the impromptu bath.

On Point

Oh yeah...landscaping? Forget it. There  used to be the  loveliest rose in  that  barrel.

Run, Jasy, Run!

Whoops....slight miscalculation on the landing...

Whew! Got it together at the last minute.

I'm gonna....

Get 'cha!

In the hotel in Hanford, Ca. for a show.

Is upon us...

And it is a wonderful thing

The only thing better than having one all to yourself is..

Sharing  one with a friend.

Someone needs to tell Shayna that apple season isnt until the fall.
