****NEWS FLASH****
Shayna was diagnosed with a mast cell tumor on her left stifle. Two other lumps came back as "inconclusive" on her lab tests. She was scheduled for surgery to remove all three lumps at UC Davis, in Sacramento Ca. Two of the surgery sites have healed well. The third continues to be a trial. Pictures and log can be found on this log. Please be aware that some of the pictures are graphic. If you have a weak stomach, or are eating I would advise not clicking on the link.
Shayna passed her Temperament Test put on by the American Rottweiler Fanciers and The American Temperament Test Society in Dixon, Ca. on August 6th. Way to go, my beautiful girl! I am so proud of you!
Shayna is one of the sweetest souls I have ever met. We were privileged to bring her home the week of Thanksgiving in 2003. The holidays are not generally a good time to bring a puppy home because of all the hustle and bustle, but my husband and I don't have family nearby, and we werent traveling that year, so we spent the holidays becoming aquainted with the little fireball, now known as Shayna.
